MDPX5 Vehicle Docking Station
The MDPX5 docking station has been designed specifically for the Itronix Duo-Touch II Tablet PC. It enables this rugged, versatile system to be fully integrated in to a vehicle for ergonomic and safe use.
The lightweight design ensures that the docking station can be readily mounted to a variety of modern vehicle interiors—with brackets already designed for some commercial vehicles, and if we don’t already have the exact fitment required for your fleet, we will be happy to produce a suitable mounting bracket to enable the MDPX5 to be installed.
Docking is a straight forward process, simply lowering the Duo-Touch II down the guide rails on the dock. A lock is fitted to secure the tablet in place. Undocking is simply a reversal of the dock process—just lift the tablet off the docking station ready for use in the field.
There are no external connectors for the user to fiddle with—both power and USB connectivity are automatically made when the tablet is docked, removing potential for damage to connectors and cabling.
Tilt / swivel movement can be designed in to mounting brackets if required, or with the excellent DynaVue TM display on the Duo-Touch II, the dock can be mounted in a fixed position whilst still achieving good viewability by both passenger and driver.
The combination of these two products offers cost effective mobile working for a wide range of users, and the ease of operation means the Duo Touch II is easily removed from the vehicle for use in the field in even the harshest of environments. |
